VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY
1988-The Voluntary Organisation of Rural Development Society is registered as a Non profit and nongovernmental Organisation.
1998-The Navajeevan Special School for the Deaf was started with 30 students and 3 teachers, now it is run with 216 students 42 teaching and non-teaching staff .
2002-As part of Special education with a view of providing employment facilities to the Hearing Impaired children, Vocational centre initially with a course on book binding and printing was started on training cum production basis – 2002
2003-The Navajeevan College of Education DSE HI (DHH) was started to over come the problem of dearth of trained special educators to teach the Disabled as well as normal children. It is affiliated to IGNOU. This year 2013 the Institution is affiliated with Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for the Hearing Handicapped (AYJNIHH), Mumbai.
2003-Continuation Rehabilitation Programme is run by this institution on regular basis with 3 programs a year. This is a certificate course for already trained personal through D.Ed. and B.Ed. courses in special education.
2004- B.Ed Special Education was started and affiliated with Madhya
Pradesh Bhoj Open university. Now this course is affiliated
to Dr.B.R Ambedkar university, AP, form the year 2009.
2006-Dress Making unit for the dropout girl students was started and is continuing.
2007-Navajeevan Child Care and Learning centre was established with the help of Monsanto Fund to educate child Labour. Now it is run with the help of friends and well wishers of Fredrich Hegele through Fr. Marreddy.
2010-Society of Jesus Mary Joseph, Hyderabad has taken up the management of the institutions.
2011-Modern Technology has been introduced in Education.
2013- The Institution follows the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) Program
